November 17, 2007 The NEW Columbia Mall was in the final completion stages on November 17, 2007.

March 8, 2008 The Grand Opening of the NEW Columbia Mall (AKA: Avondale Walmart) took place on Friday, March 7, 2008. Photo taken on March 8, 2008 from the rear parking lot of the old Sears' Automotive building. You can see Avondale stadium over on the far right.

A low to the ground Walmart sign sits beside the old falling apart Avondale Mall sign out in front of the mall. The road in the background is Memorial Drive. The road in the foreground is the drive directly across from Midway Road.

Don't steal an Avondale Walmart shopping cart!
You won't get far unless you want to carry it away.

Crowley Mausoleum - March 8, 2008

When the leaves come out on the trees, and the pines grow, the mausoleum will be completely blocked from view if you're looking at it from the Walmart side. If you're looking at the mausoleum from the NAPA side, the foreground parking lot needs a lot of TLC and cleaning up. The mausoleum is not accessible via car anymore. These photos show several views. You can see Walmart in the background of a few shots, and in the other shots, you can see front of the mausoleum, and inside the stairwell leading up to the graves, which was interesting to see.
